So for the last few weeks on my days off (Tues, Weds, Thurs) I have been helping my best friend build a garage from the ground up which I’ve never done. He has other guys working for him but they are half my age. Even my best friend is only 32 so he doesn’t feel what its like to be over 40. None of them KIDS do :P.
Anyway today I was on the top of the garage doing roofing in 95 degree F temps. Now for anyone whos never done roofing those shingles are hot and radiate heat off the top of the garage right into your face. I got some sun and I’m red on my face and arms but tomorrow they will be tan. I have a very Italian complexion so I hardly ever burn. Still tonight I am acky because the back of my neck is the worse.
This was by far the worse day because of the heat but all in all he buys us breakfast where we meet up before the job and he buys us lunch too! The place we are working is a new house so no one lives in it yet. This means we have full permissions to burn it right up there. We must smoke 8-10 blunts in a 8 hour shift. This is all being done (today at least) on top of a garage that only has roofing paper on it so far.
We finished 3/4th of the entire roof before my friend Charlie said wrap it up. That was 130pm which was the height of the heat. Doing it again tomorrow but no roof for me tomorrow its suppose to rain so we will do some indoors work on the garage since the top is now covered enough to work in the rain.

p.p.s. I wonder how you guys would feel about making your own playlists to share for everyone. I can make a collection from people who want to make a playlist JUST for the blog people and post the urls here. I think this is a very good idea I just need people to participate!
p.p.p.s. Some people have asked me why I’m doing this blog. There’s a couple reasons. First off Medeia and Mexican said I should and secondly my social worker said I should journal. I’m just taking that to the next level.
Great post, Enigma! You’re lending your friend a massive hand, that’s what being a true brother is all about (even if it leaves you with a sunburned neck). Tomorrow, take cover from the rain and keep crushing it. I’m definitely down for the playlist sharing idea, let me know how we’re organizing it. Big hug!
